Priced at an affordable $25000, the 2007 Civic Type R (Japanese) is powered by a Honda K-series engine that produces 225hp @ 8000rpm and 159 lb-ft of torque @ 6100rpm. Unfortunately, production is limited to just 400-cars per month. Couple more pictures and a video after the jump.

2010 Honda Insight

The 2010 Honda Insight will be priced at under $19,000 and will go on sale in 2009. It’s powered by Honda’s IMA system, albeit a extensively refined version to make this the most affordable hybrid car ever.

This reduction in cost has not been brought about by compromising the quality of the Insight, instead the Japanese manufacturer has tasked its engineers with finding more intelligent cost reduction solutions.

Who can resist an open-top S2000 concept? Apparently, not Japan-based, Honda tuner Mugen. It’s outfitted with carbon fiber accents on the interior, Mugen bucket seats, and a host of exterior parts. Hit the jump for one more picture.

No word on engine tuning or other stats to suggest it’s not just a styling exercise. Still, we’re okay with stock in this case.

Honda’s futuristic V4 motorcycle concept features hubless wheels and uses the trademarked 4-cylinder V-engine. This design shows what direction Honda is headed for their future motorcycle lines. More pictures after the jump.

The exhibition also offers an easy-to-understand introduction to various challenges Honda has undertaken in order to create joy for its customers, by utilizing its technologies that have been continuously advanced through Honda’s 60-year history and by its participation in motorsports.

2007 Honda Civic Type R

Though it’s not the latest model, many consider the 2007 Honda Civic Type R (FN2) to be the last real “Type R”. It’s powered by a 2.0L K-series engine that produces 198hp @ 8000rpm, mated to a 6-speed transmission with lower gearing. Hit the break for a Top Gear video.

While the headline performance figures are expected to be virtually identical to the 6.6 second 0-100 km/h time and 235 km/h top speed of the Type R in its previous incarnation, the engine enhancements mean the new car is more responsive generally, while improved aerodynamics ensures the new car cuts through the air more cleanly.
